Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our candles are made using a special wax that combines soy and other ingredients, which we developed specifically to enhance the performance of our unique fragrances.
Our fragrances are carefully crafted using a blend of natural and synthetic ingredients, and we follow strict safety standards set by organizations like the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and the National Candle Association (NCA). The NCA confirms that scientific studies have demonstrated that all major candle waxes produce similar byproducts when burned. Furthermore, there is no credible scientific evidence to suggest that candle wax emissions are harmful to human health.
-
Most people enjoy scented candles without any problems, but it's important to note that some individuals with sensitivities may have a negative reaction to certain fragrances. If you know you're sensitive to specific scents, it's best to avoid candles with those fragrances. Also, remember to always burn candles, whether scented or unscented, in a well-ventilated area to ensure good air circulation.
-
Our candles use cotton or paper wicks that are free of lead and zinc.
-
#1 - Trim your wick.
Before lighting the candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. You can use scissors or a Wick Trimmer to carefully trim it.
#2 - The first burn.
For the first burn, let the candle create a pool of melted wax that reaches from one side to the other. Burn the candle for about 1 hour for each inch of width. Afterward, let it cool before relighting.
#3 - Recenter the wick.
After blowing out the flame, recenter the wick while the wax is still liquid. Use tweezers to place it back in the middle to prevent the glass from getting too hot.
#4 - Prevent tunneling.
To avoid tunneling, make sure to burn the candle long enough during the first burn. This helps the wax melt evenly.
#5 - Don't burn too long!
Avoid burning candles for more than 4 hours or longer than recommended for the candle's size. Extinguish the candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains to prevent hazards like glass shattering or fire.
