Haiti or Bust: The Bridgewater Brand Experience

What is the Brand Experience?

Every year, we invite a group of employees, retailers, sales reps, and members of the press on a life-changing journey to experience the impact of the Light a Candle, Feed a Child™ program. Through the program, which began in 2010, we donate 75¢ from each candle sold to a non-profit called Rice Bowls. Rice Bowls is committed to feeding orphans in third-world countries, where government assistance programs are scarce or non-existent. Through this partnership, we've been able to provide over 8 million meals to date, and don't plan on stopping anytime soon!

This year for the annual brand experience trip, we're headed to Haiti! First, the group will travel to Spartanburg, SC on October 11th to meet the Bridgewater Candle Company family and tour the manufacturing facility. Then it's off to Haiti, the group will spend time at the orphanage getting to know the kids and delivering supplies.

This trip will give participants the opportunity to get to know the children at the orphanages they are helping to support. They will work alongside Rice Bowls employees and see first-hand how the Light a Candle • Feed a Child™ program is changing the lives of children around the world.
